As an Indigo resident, you play a vital role in maintaining the vision, character, and values of our neighborhood. That’s why the Indigo Resident Community Association (IRCA) has established community standards to help homeowners preserve Indigo’s distinctive charm and high-quality lifestyle.
So, what does it mean to be a resident in “good standing?” And what should you do if you receive a notice of noncompliance?
If these questions make you a bit uneasy, don’t worry! We’ve outlined the good, the groan, and the sigh of relief when it comes to community standards, and we’ve also compiled a few helpful tips for common compliance concerns.
The good
Community standards and design review are in place to help maintain our beautiful community and protect the value of your home, now and in the future.
If you’ve paid your monthly dues on time and adhered to the community standards, congratulations! You’re a resident in “good standing.”
There’s no need to feel uncertain—you have access to plenty of resources, everything is available 24/7 through the Indigo resident portal. And if you’re unsure about what’s allowed or have any questions, the Indigo Resident Community Association (IRCA) is always available to help.
The groan
To ensure the community standards are upheld, the IRCA conducts regular tours of the neighborhood. If any noncompliance issue is found, you’ll receive an initial courtesy notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
Failure to address the issue could lead to a fine and restricted access to Indigo’s amenities.
The sigh of relief
Rest assured, the IRCA is here to support you. They want to help resolve any concerns, not penalize you.
You will receive multiple notices before any fines or amenity access restrictions are enforced, giving you ample time to address any issues.
If you believe a noncompliance letter was issued in error or you have a question about design review or community standards, reach out. If you see a community violation in the neighborhood, you can also submit a Community Concern form online, which is available anytime.
The IRCA is dedicated to maintaining open communication and helping residents stay informed.
Common community standards
- Landscape modifications
Any front yard landscape changes must receive prior written approval from the Indigo Design Review Committee. For backyard modifications involving approved plant materials, no review is required. - Holiday lighting and decorations
Holiday lights and decorations may be displayed no earlier than 30 days before and no later than 10 days after the holiday occurrence. - Landscape maintenance responsibilities
Residents are responsible for keeping their landscape well-maintained to prevent it from becoming overgrown or unattractive. Trees and shrubs must not encroach upon sidewalks or public paths. - Trash cans and bags
Prior to collection, trash must be stored in garages or behind fencing out of public view.
